Job description

The Globe Inn, known for its beautiful rooms and locally sourced food, is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead the team. We are part of the Chestnut collection of pubs, inns, and restaurants, and our award-winning inn is located on the North Norfolk coast, overlooking a picturesque Georgian square in Wells-next-the-Sea.

Our chefs collaborate closely with local fishermen and butchers, focusing on locally-sourced, fresh, and delicious meals. The beef is from cattle fattened on salt marshes of ancient estates, and our seafood is brought straight from the quay, ensuring unbeatable flavor.

Job Requirements:
  • Lead and inspire the front and back of house teams to achieve high standards of service.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Assistant Manager to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Guide guests through a memorable restaurant and hotel experience.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to foster a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Manage wet stock within the property.
  • Drive financial performance by meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Create a positive, motivated work environment where team members can excel.
  • Report regularly to the operations manager.
  • Oversee cash management.
