Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead Radiology Services at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and SWFT. You will drive operational excellence, transform patient pathways, improve access and performance, and inspire teams to deliver sustainable improvements.

The role involves supporting the Directorate Manager across quality, activity, finance and governance, with line management and annual job planning for staff, and involvement in business continuity

Responsibilities

• Lead on operational excellence across Radiology Services and drive improvements to patient pathways.
• Support Directorate Manager to deliver constitutional standards, national/local priorities, and governance.
• Provide line management for staff including annual job planning and appraisals.
• Lead service improvement objectives to ensure services meet priorities and deliver quality improvements.
• Develop and monitor business plans and annual planning submissions; monitor delivery against plan.
• Develop, implement and annually review business continuity and EPPR plans; contribute to emergency preparedness.
• Potential to deputise as required and be included in on-call management rota.

This is an opportunity to drive operational excellence, transform patient pathways, improve access and performance. We are looking for a dynamic leader who can inspire teams and deliver sustainable improvements.

The General Manager will support and assist the Directorate Manager to deliver services across Geroge Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and associated community sites.

The General Manager will support and assist the Directorate Manager in the delivery of the constitutional standards, national, local and directorate priorities.

The General Manager will support and assist the Directorate Manager in the delivery of quality, activity, finance and governance for the directorate.

Working with the Clincial Leads, provide line management to staff within the directorate, including the annual job planning and appraisals.

The General Manager will lead on specific service improvement objectives working to ensure services are fit to meet the national, local and directorate priorities.

The General Manager will support the directorate with the development of business plans and the annual planning submission. They will also monitor compliance and delivery against plan.

The General Manager will support the development, implementation and annual review of business continuity plans, contributing to the Directorate emergency, prevention, preparedness and response (EPPR) plans.

The postholder may be required to deputise as required.

The postholder will be required to be included in the Trust's on call management rota
