An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed-term General Manager in the Women’s Health Division at one of the UK's most complex NHS trusts. The role involves leading operational management across Breast and Gynaecology services, committing to quality and patient-centered care while meeting national targets. With responsibilities for performance across various aspects of service delivery, the ideal candidate will bring leadership, innovation, and a collaborative approach to enhance patient care within a dynamic environment.
We have a unique, fixed-term opportunity to join the Women’s Health Division at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a new fixed-term General Manager position working alongside the existing General Manager across Breast and Gynaecology services to establish 1 WTE Breast and Gynaecology General Manager and 1 WTE Gynaecology General Manager. The exact service portfolio will be agreed based on the skills and experience of the appointees to provide senior leadership across the division. The position is funded until March 2026.

The successful candidate must be committed, collaborative, and capable of leading operational delivery, driving service innovations, and transforming services to meet national RTT and CWT targets, ensuring outstanding patient care.
Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the General Manager will oversee the operational management of Gynaecology, Gynae-oncology, and/or Breast services, and be responsible for performance targets including finance, activity, workforce, and cancer and referral-to-treatment waiting times standards.
The General Manager will also be a key stakeholder in the Gynae-oncology and Breast NCL Clinical Networks, collaborating with the Cancer Alliance and acute trust counterparts to achieve service transformation for cancer services.
