About

CK Group is recruiting for a General Manager to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire), on a permanent basis. This role is fully onsite and requires outstanding organisational, communication, and site leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage our client's other site in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity that is expected to escalate to an Operations Director level in a rapidly growing environment.

The Company

Our client provides resources to the pre-clinical research market. They have contributed to the development of life-saving therapies and treatments for humans and animals.

The Role

To lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organisational objectives. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and drive growth. Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while optimising resources.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as the point of contact responsible for the overall coordination of the site and management.
2. Collaborate with the senior executive team, reporting on the performance of business areas, and meeting goals and objectives.
3. Ensure the site operates in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
4. Lead site teams to meet business and customer-focused professional standards.
5. Supervise managers and staff across departments through meetings and teamwork.
6. Provide summary reports on site progress towards goals.
7. Some EU travel may be required periodically throughout the year.

Your Background

• Degree qualified in Business Administration or a relevant field.
• Proven experience as a site manager or in an equivalent senior leadership role within the bioresearch/biotech sector.
• Knowledge of industry legal rules and guidelines, ASPA 1986 experience is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions such as supply chain, customer service, finance, and budget management.
