Job summary

Yard Sale Pizza in London is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of our vibrant shops, delivering excellent customer service and tasty hand-made pizzas. You will manage kitchen and front-of-house operations, lead a diverse team, drive sales to meet KPIs, and partner with marketing to grow the business in a busy London neighbourhood.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership with the ability to set a great example in the workplace.
• A track record of driving sales and smashing targets.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous GM experience would be amazing.
• Advantageous if previously worked in a takeaway setting.

Yard Sale Pizza is on the search for an experienced General Manager to join our amazing team to run one of our brilliant shops in a vibrant London neighbourhood!

In return you will receive a competitive base salary up to £38,000 per annum plus a generous bonus and excellent benefits! Our amazing and diverse teams are made up of chefs, front and back of house as well as our in-house drivers - you won’t be dealing with third-party companies, just running a slick service of hand-made, hand-delivered pizza goodness!

Who are we?

Yard Sale Pizza fired up the oven in 2014, starting with weekly supper clubs from our backyard in Hackney. We now offer delivery, dine-in and takeaway in 17 of our favourite neighbourhoods. Known for our collaborations, we’ve teamed up with illustrators, musicians, international chefs & local eateries - all on the quest for the perfect pie!

We’ve won London’s most-loved restaurant in Time Out’s 2016 Love London awards, were awarded Best Cheap Eats in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2017, and were voted London’s favourite pizza in Time Out’s inaugural Clash of the Slices in 2022.

We’re buzzing to be opening our 11th Yard Sale Pizza in South East London’s Hither Green in November 2023. Bringing our award-winning handmade, hand-delivered pizzas to this stunning neighbourhood! We’ll be serving up London’s ultimate delivery pizza, all delivered by our amazing team of drivers through our in-house delivery service, with seats for dine-in customers.

What will I be doing?

• Dealing with all elements of management, including both kitchen and operations.

• Working with our marketing team to bring new business in and establish the shop in its location.

What are we looking for?

• We’re looking for someone who absolutely loves to lead whilst setting a great example in the workplace.
• Someone who has a keen understanding of driving sales and smashing targets!
• Someone with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• An individual who has a few years experience as a GM would be amazing!
• It would be advantageous if you have previously worked within a takeaway setting.
