A locally-based establishment seeks a General Manager to oversee its day-to-day operations during an exciting expansion phase. The role requires hands-on leadership, compliance management, and a commitment to customer service. Candidates should hold a Personal Licence Holder (PLH) certificate and demonstrate an established background in hospitality management. This role not only presents a job opportunity but also a chance to become part of a thriving community.
The Job
As General Manager, you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of this locally-based establishment. The role requires a "fully hands-on" approach, reporting to the Group owner and CEO. The company is in an exciting expansion phase, and this appointment aims to lead to further accolades and awards for this establishment. The ideal candidate will manage the property as if it were their own, ensuring compliance with all licensing laws, health and safety standards, HCCAP, and food allergy regulations.
The role demands a commercial and prudent approach to staffing and wage management, especially during these new trading times in the hospitality industry. The focus will be on customer service and health and safety, with steps taken to maximize consumer confidence and traffic. Proper staff training and appropriate staffing levels are priorities to meet customer needs in these evolving times.
Our client views this role as more than a job; it is an opportunity to be part of a thriving community. The new GM will build on the venue's reputation as a great place to meet, eat, stay, or work. A full management induction and handover will be provided to support the transition.
The Person
We are ideally seeking an established General or Deputy General Manager from a similar background, or potentially a Restaurant and Bar Manager. The role values knowledge, experience, and skill, but also a community-focused way of life. Candidates may come from an environment that has faced recent trading challenges or be individuals seeking a new challenge. Applicants must hold full accredited licensing qualifications, such as a Personal Licence Holder (PLH) certificate, and demonstrate a structured, sustainable career history.
The Rewards
The package includes a highly competitive salary of circa £45,000, along with an ongoing performance-related bonus scheme. Further details can be provided based on experience.
