As the organization aims to expand its services and membership body, a new, well-versed General Manager is required.
Responsibilities:
- Member acquisition through unique development and engagement activities.
- Management of the procurement and finance team.
- Continuing development of the range of products and services available.
- Overseeing access to the ordering system.
- Ensuring the range of products and services helps in the efficient operation of members' businesses.
- Benchmarking products and services to ensure members receive the best service, prices, and efficiencies.
- Assisting members whenever issues arise or requirements are not fully met.
- Maintaining affordable membership fees in a constantly changing business environment.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in business and preferably in the agricultural sector to identify and manage future opportunities and threats.
- Understanding and analyzing future trends in the agricultural market to maintain relevant market status.
- Seeking opportunities to develop relationships with other buying groups or suppliers for the benefit of the company and its members.
- Skills to operate a bespoke IT system and future systems that enhance office efficiency and member service.
- Ability to manage an open and responsive relationship with the Board.
- Experience and negotiation skills to expand the range of products and services available to members at the best prices.
- Strategies to increase membership to maximize competitiveness and control costs.
- Development skills and digital marketing experience.
