General Manager

Our client curates’ niche, tailor-made escapes to the most spectacular destinations throughout the world, managing every element of your trip to ensure it is truly memorable. With an unprecedented level of returning customers, this business is truly unique.

As a result of the company’s ongoing success, we are recruiting a newly created General Manager role. The successful candidate will lead, manage and grow this successful prestige travel business, transforming it from an operationally focused company into a sales-driven organisation.

If you are an experienced individual in the travel, leisure or hospitality industry, who has successfully grown a business, can implement a clear strategy and vision and who is an inspirational leader, we would be keen to hear from you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the CEO, managing the day-to-day operations of the business
  • Transitioning the business into a “sales-driven” organisation through successful marketing and development of the brand
  • Building and managing relationships with suppliers
  • Delivering each customer’s individual experience, by ensuring all processes align with customer needs and expectations
  • Building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, ownership of customer experience, and continuous learning
  • Managing budgets, with a disciplined approach to cost management, analysing financial reports and improving data accuracy.
  • Leveraging emerging technologies for operational improvements and innovation to maintain a competitive edge

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strategic and operational experience within a similar field
  • A proven track record of leading a customer-focused business through a successful growth cycle
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills both internally and externally
  • Honed leadership skills with innate empathy and emotional intelligence
  • Strong financial management and commercial skills
  • Project management, planning and organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Critical thinking capabilities, displaying resilience, quick decision making and problem-solving skills
  • An innovative approach to new situations
