We are excited to present a prestigious opportunity for a General Manager based at our site in Coventry.

The 900,000 sq ft multi-user facility is rapidly evolving—hosting e-commerce, B2B, B2C and retail distribution for blue-chip customers. You\'ll take a leading role in steering site stability through major go-lives and deliver operational excellence to all our customers.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Full P&L and operational accountability for a safe, efficient, and profitable supply chain site, driving budget management, KPI ownership, and cross-functional team performance to meet SLAs and customer expectations.
• Champion Standardisation and Continuous Improvement by leading network redesigns, process standardization initiatives, OMS and BBS programmes, and ongoing performance reviews to unlock productivity gains and cost savings.
• Embed a Safety First culture through hands-on risk assessments, personal accountability for multi-year risk-mitigation projects, behavioural-based safety reinforcement, and rigorous incident investigations with corrective-action follow-through.
• Lead talent management and development—recruiting, onboarding, and performance-managing Operations Managers and direct reports; aligning roles & responsibilities; delivering training matrices; and building succession plans to maximise team capability.
• Build and nurture customer and commercial partnerships by conducting regular account reviews, negotiating SLAs, analysing claims, spotting growth and cross-sell opportunities, and collaborating with Business Development to expand service offerings.

• A hands-on leader with a “can-do, right-first-time” attitude, adept at managing multiple reporting layers, inspiring teams to deliver results without direct supervision, and fostering a safety-first, respectful culture.
• Have a track record of leading high performing engaged teams to enable the delivery of business objectives across all dimensions including people, financial, customer and operations.
• A logistics leader with large-scale, operations experience—who\'s managed multi-million-pound budgets and P&L responsibility while driving safe, efficient site performance.
• A strategic thinker and change agent with a knack for planning, defining, and deploying end-to-end supply chain strategies, championing standardization and continuous improvement through robust project management.
• An influential communicator and negotiator who builds and maintains strong customer and stakeholder relationships, presents complex data clearly at all levels, and secures buy-in for network redesign and cost-optimization initiatives.
• A commercially savvy professional with deep operational process knowledge, skilled in stakeholder management, supplier negotiations, and spotting growth or cross-sell opportunities to boost customer loyalty and site profitability.
