General Manager

A leading global supplier of natural food ingredients (spices, essential oils, food colouring) has an immediate requirement for an experienced General Manager to manage, develop, and grow the UK business.

Location: East Midlands area, including Peterborough, Leicester, Northamptonshire, Kettering, Corby, NN18 8LH

Salary: Circa £70,000 – £80,000 plus bonus/benefits (TBC)

They currently have a well-organized but small operation in the UK. As General Manager, your role will be to develop and grow the UK business to reach its full potential.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience within the food industry. A technical education would be advantageous, but proven experience in growing a small company is essential.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Set the strategic direction for the UK company
  2. Oversee the organization's daily operations
  3. Full P&L responsibility
  4. Grow and develop the sales team
  5. Provide regular reports to senior board members

This is a hands-on role requiring leadership by example.

The role is suitable for individuals currently working as Managing Director, CEO, COO, Managing Partner, Operations Manager, Sales Director, or Business Development Director.
