Gaucho - General Manager

Gaucho is looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to join one of our Edinburgh restaurants. The successful candidate will be an experienced restaurant operator, fully accountable for guest experience, finance, sales growth, legal compliance, and team development. The General Manager will work closely with the Operations Director on projects and will take full ownership of them. They will be an ambassador for the business, leading by example and driving the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing financials by planning to drive sales and exceed budgets
• Yearly budget planning and maximizing covers while maintaining guest experience
• Fully accountable for team objectives and development planning
• Managing rotas, employee relations, and recruitment effectively
• Practicing an open-door policy to ensure employee welfare
• Driving the Gaucho culture and managing both team and senior members
• Ensuring compliance throughout the business, with proper training for the team and oneself
• Achieving 95% or above on food audits and health & safety standards
• Focusing on guest feedback from Revinate and mystery diner reports
• Leading marketing initiatives

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry

• WSET Level 2 certification
