General Manager

ENB have partnered with our national warehousing and distribution client who are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute General Manager to lead this customer facing operation. This is a key leadership role with responsibility of managing end-to-end logistics operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to their clients.

The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader with a strong understanding of transport and warehousing operations, a firm grasp of Lean/CI methodologies, and a proven ability to lead change within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and motivate a diverse team across warehousing, transport, and customer service functions.
  • Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, results, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion health & safety and compliance standards throughout the operation.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective management of all warehousing activities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and be the primary point of contact for customer communication and performance reviews.
  • Own the P&L for the site, driving profitability while maintaining high service levels.
  • Identify and implement commercial opportunities to grow revenue and enhance margin.
  • Lead business transformation initiatives and embed a culture of operational excellence.
  • Implement and sustain Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance service delivery.
  • Oversee transport operations

Experience required

  • Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within a 3PL or FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of transport operations
  • Experience managing customer relationships in a contract logistics or outsourced environment.
  • Can demonstrate success in leading change, transformation programmes, and CI initiatives.
  • CPC Holder – would be highly desirable
  • Commercially focused with strong financial acumen
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
