Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains proficiency in all medication dispensing areas and workstations
• May assist with department training and new hire support
• Prepares bulk medication for loading into automated dispensing system
• Performs manual packing duties including, but not limited to, packing and shipping, completing orders, verifying accuracy based on conformance to quality standards/specifications, and preparing packages for mail
• Affixes labels to the appropriate containers
• Conducts cycle counts and put away
• Resolves order delay reporting as well as upgrades, expediting, and cancels orders
• May also be responsible for stocking non-pharmaceutical products
• Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate
• Must obtain active technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active technician license or certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED
• Current Pharmacy Technician license/registration without restrictions in good standing with State Board of Pharmacy if required in the State in which the position is located
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Basic knowledge of and skills using MS Windows, MS Office Suite and/or other similar operating/software programs
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a diplomatic and confidential manner
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in a repetitive motion, with or without accommodations
