Job Title: General Maintenance Technician

Location: Farnborough/Slough

Salary: £32,421.43 per annum

Working Hours: 45 Hours Per Week

Due to new business, we have an exciting opportunity for General Maintenance Technicians to join our teams with local roles across the UK.

The role involves reactive maintenance, including fabric, surfacing, and pipework repairs, as well as planned maintenance to ensure site safety and compliance. The position is mobile, covering multiple sites in a regional area.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and execute maintenance tasks on schedule, including PPM and reactive jobs.
  2. Follow health and safety guidelines and complete work as per task sheets.
  3. Communicate effectively with clients and team members, building strong relationships.
  4. Utilize the Mercury platform for job updates and data recording.
  5. Respond promptly to service requests and carry out repairs.
  6. Order spare parts as needed for maintenance tasks.
Key Tasks:
  1. Perform repairs on building fabric, car park surfaces, or pipework.
  2. Maintain HVAC air filters.
  3. Complete documentation accurately and timely.
  4. Identify issues and advise management with recommendations.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues across sites.
  6. Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Regional Operations Manager.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:
  • Full driving license
  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications
  • Proficiency with Apple and Android devices
  • Experience in general building repairs (plumbing, joinery, civil works)
  • Ability to repair and maintain building fabrics and equipment
Desirable:
  • Building Trade Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds)
  • Experience in similar roles and environments
  • Civil works experience
