Job description

EFI is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Ink making Business Unit in our Bradford Plant, UK.

Job Description:

Responsible for handling mechanical jobs as listed below in duties and responsibilities. The applicant must have a strong skill set/experience with repairing/updating and performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working in a safe manner.
  • Handle major/minor mechanical requests from all areas within EFI. This would encompass repairing pumping stations, compressor, air mixers, dust collector, doors, lights, and any other equipment as assigned by your manager.
  • Able to work under limited supervision.
  • Able to identify parts needed and more importantly, complete the task at hand.
  • Maintenance experience is a requirement for this position.
  • Electrical experience a plus.
  • Working within your department to develop and continually improve documented processes a must.
  • Be able to work well with others and take direction.
  • Capable of developing Risk Assessments.
  • Experience of controlling contractors
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained or similar.
  • Strong problem solving methodologies a must.
  • 3+ years experience with hands on maintenance required.
  • Be able to lift 25kg or more.
  • Attention to detail is a must for this position.
  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced chemical environment
