General Maintenance Operative (Electrical Bias)

Liverpool Street, London

Permanent, Full-time

Summary

We’re looking for an electrically-minded General Maintenance Operative to join our team on a new commercial development near Liverpool Street. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to actively contribute rather than just supervise remotely.

You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team of two, maintaining four high-specification floors, reporting to an on-site Supervisor. If you want to apply your skills in a modern environment where your efforts truly matter, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out electrical maintenance and general building fabric PPM and reactive tasks.
2. Supporting small works and reactive repairs across lighting, power, and general services.
3. Using CAFM systems (IFS or client platform) to log work and ensure compliance.
4. Participating in out-of-hours callouts and earning overtime where necessary.
5. Collaborating closely with your teammate and Supervisor to ensure smooth building operations.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in electrical maintenance within commercial environments.
• Practical, hands-on approach with a sense of ownership.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and safe systems of work.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience on new builds or high-end office spaces is a plus.
