Job summary

JLL is seeking a General Maintenance Operative/Fabric Engineer to support on-site hard services in Linlithgow. The role covers delivering planned and reactive maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining compliance with MEP processes.

You will report to the Facilities Management team and be involved in safety activities, documentation, and weekly reporting to ensure high service levels for the client. This is an on-site position requiring strong communication and a proactive approach.

• Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Represent the hard services team and ensure successful on-site support for all engineering requirements.
• Ensure specialist vendors service visits are completed efficiently and quality of work is inspected and reported to the line manager.
• Carry out PPM tasks and adhere to compliance guidelines and statutory acts.
• Accurately reporting of all completed work orders, recording critical spares/stock used; using Corrigo platform.
• Deliver high level of customer-focused service and participate in required training.
• Complete weekly reports and communicate significant events to JLL FM team and line manager.
• Participate in Health and Safety activities, such as Hazard/Near Miss Reporting and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with JLL MEP processes, risk documentation for all critical works.
• Liaise with line manager when ordering M&E components for remedial works.
• Take ownership of areas under INTEGRAL control, maintaining show-site standards.
• Complete Corrigo Work Orders within SLA.

Role Title: General Maintenance Operative/ Fabric Engineer

Role Purpose:

The role has been created to assist the team on site with the hard services required by the client.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• To represent the hard services team and ensure the successful site support for all engineering requirements
• Ensure that Specialist Vendors service visits are completed efficiently, and quality of work has been inspected and recommendations are communicated to the line Manager.
• Carry out PPM tasks and adhere to compliance guidelines statutory acts and regulations. Including but limited to water management of site.
• Accurately reporting of all completed work orders, including precise recording of any critical spares/stock items used during these tasks. Utilizing the Corrigo platform.
• Expected to deliver a high level of customer focused service and participate in additional training as required.
• Completing the weekly reports, ensuring that significant events or activities are noted and effectively communicated to JLL FM team and the line manager.
• Actively participate and complete Health and Safety compliance activities, such as Hazard/Near Miss Reporting and regular completion of scheduled Toolbox Talks.
• Accountable for the compliance with JLL MEP process and procedures when undertaking all relevant work orders, ensuring risk management documentation (MOP, SOP or EOP) is in place for all critical works.
• Liaise with the line manager, when ordering M&E components for remedial/corrective works.
• Take ownership of areas (including all plant rooms) under INTEGRAL control, ensuring they are brought up too and maintained to the required show site standards.
• Efficient and Effective completion of Corrigo Work Orders that have been allocated, ensuring that Work Orders have been acknowledged and completed within SLA.
