General Maintenance Manager

£25,000 Manchester

You'll be working closely with the Development Manager to keep the building in top shape and ensure residents' rooms are maintained to the highest standard. This isn't just about fixing things as they break - it's about proactive management and providing outstanding property services.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Proactive and planned property maintenance
  2. Conducting inspections and creating reports
  3. Managing both ad-hoc and scheduled repairs
  4. Overseeing end-of-tenancy and minor emergency repairs
  5. Engaging in painting and decorating tasks
  6. Scheduling contractor appointments and ensuring compliance
  7. Carrying out functional testing of fire safety equipment and routine fire door inspections (training provided)
You'll also get stuck into:
  1. Litter picking, plant watering, and keeping communal areas tidy
  2. Ensuring refuse collection schedules are adhered to
  3. Liaising with tenants and providing top-notch customer service
  4. Supporting in administrative duties and the use of systems like Fixflo and Datastation
Desirable Skills:
  1. Proficiency with hardware tools and appliances (hammer, screwdriver, carpet cleaner, etc.)
  2. Basic computer skills for word processing, spreadsheets, and database management
  3. Ability to work professionally and courteously with clients, customers, and contractors
