The role
As a General Maintenance Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An opportunity exists for a General Maintenance Assistant to work in a leading defence technology company delivering a wide range of design, manufacturing, and operational support projects to defence customers.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

• The cleaning of domestic and technical installations, equipment, and site vehicles.
• Maintenance of domestic water and drainage systems.
• Ordering materials to maintain cost effective stock levels.
• General labouring and porterage including receipt, packing and dispatch of goods.
• To maintain technical and administration records and provide information as required.

This role is full time and is a hybrid role with a mixture of working from home and working onsite at Skelton.

Essential experience of the General Maintenance Assistant:

• A comprehensive knowledge of current safe working practices and safety procedures
• 1-2 years’ experience of general building maintenance and cleaning techniques.
• Possession of a current full UK driving licence.
• Basic Computer skills including email, Word and spreadsheets.

Qualifications for the General Maintenance Assistant:

• Minimum GSCE Grade C in Maths and English or NVQ level2.
