General Maintenance Assistant, Cambridge

This role involves handling reactive and planned maintenance tasks to keep facilities in top shape. Responsibilities include general repairs, furniture moving, building surveys, and setting up rooms for functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up rooms for functions
  • Perform general repairs and routine maintenance
  • Move furniture and furnishings
  • Respond to emergencies outside normal hours on a rota basis
  • Undertake tasks as directed by management
Requirements:
  • Experience in building maintenance
  • Basic IT skills (emails, record keeping, smartphone use)
  • Adaptability and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Positive attitude and methodical approach
  • Punctuality and good presentation
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Valid driving license for van use
Health and Safety:
  • Responsible attitude towards health and safety
  • Observe rules and regulations
  • Undertake necessary training
Details:
  • Pay: £29,960 per annum
  • Hours: 39 hours/week (Mon-Thu 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-4pm)
  • Holiday: 25 days + 8 public holidays
