Job description

We are seeking to appoint a general kitchen assistant at our large primary school located near the city of Manchester, surrounded by beautiful grounds and a park. The school caters to over 500 children, including 60 full-time Nursery children.

Position Details

Start date: as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  1. Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals.
  2. Setting up and clearing dining areas.
  3. Washing up and cleaning within the kitchen.
Qualifications and Experience

Some catering knowledge and experience are desirable. A basic food hygiene certificate is preferred, but training for relevant qualifications will be provided.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers must share this commitment. This position is subject to a fully enhanced DBS check and references.
