This is a permanent position working 16.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:45am - 2pm, Term time only.

We are currently recruiting for a General Kitchen Assistantto join our team at one of our independent schoolsin Pudsey, LS28.

This is a permanent position working 16.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:45am - 2pm, Term time only.

The job consists of assisting the chef who will be working on the weekend, serving the children freshly prepared meals, clearing dining room & serving area, washing up, cleaning jobs within the kitchen & food preparation jobs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 8
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
