Sodexo is hiring a General Kitchen Assistant at Barnsole Primary School in Gillingham. The role is term-time only—38 weeks per year—and permanent, part-time, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 12:00pm–2:00pm, contributing to a busy school kitchen and dining environment.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team that values hygiene, safety, and high service standards, with training provided where needed.

About the Role

As a General Kitchen Assistant you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Additional Information

Term Time Only – Equated Pay
This role works 38 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
