Job summary

Stagecoach Group is seeking a General Hand at Lea Interchange in London. This full-time role requires a valid PCV licence, willingness to perform basic DIY tasks (painting and maintenance) and shift work to support our busy depot.

You will help substitute vehicles on the road, transport buses to test centres and assist the engineers, ensuring buses stay safe and on the road for customers across London.

Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip top condition to do just that. It’s a really important role within our depot, so we’ll make sure you’re as looked after as our vehicles are! You’ll have the responsibility for substituting vehicles on the road, taking buses to test centres, doing odd jobs around the garage and much more. Our buses include modern double deckers and single deckers as well as some new Electric buses which are now in service with us. **You will need to have a full PCV licence and experience of doing some basic DIY including painting and minor maintenance work.** **This role will involve doing shift work.** You’ll be supported by a great team of Electricians, Mechanics, Technicians, Storespeople, Administrators and Engineering Managers who all pull together to do a brilliant job.
