Job summary

SSE plc is hiring a General Enquiries Advisor on a 12-month fixed term contract in Havant. The role is full-time, 37 hours, Mon–Fri, with hybrid working — office-based during training. The base location is Havant (Penner Road), with 50% office presence expected.

You will handle general enquiries, schedule maintenance work, assist the emergency team, remind customers of bookings and log/resolve complaints to keep the network running smoothly. Salary ranges £30,684–£36,666 with benefits.

• Previous experience in a customer service role, demonstrating excellent listening skills.
• Be adaptable to using different databases.
• Have excellent time management skills.
• Be a team player with good interpersonal skills.

You will:

• Take General Enquiries calls from customers requesting minor maintenance work on the network, logging the details and scheduling work whilst managing the customers needs and expectations
• Support our emergency team by taking emergency calls
• Send reminders to customers regarding jobs booked
• Complete customer call-backs and closing jobs
• Record and resolve complaints as well as logging and highlighting damage to the network
