Overview

We are looking for a flexible and reliable General Cover Teacher to join a dedicated school team in October 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality cover for absent teachers across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure continuity of learning for all pupils.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policies.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils and support their progress.
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
  • Carry out any additional duties reasonably required to support the smooth running of the school day.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Ability to teach confidently across different subjects and key stages.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as a General Cover Teacher.
