General Cover Teacher - SEMH/ASC School, Basingstoke
Permanent/Temp to Perm contract – ASAP start
MPS - UPS + SEN Allowance
Academics are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Basingstoke who are looking to appoint a passionate and empathetic General Cover Teacher to join them ASAP on a full-time, permanent or temp to perm contract.

The school is a secondary SEMH/ASC provision in Basingstoke catering for pupils aged 10–16 with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other complex needs such as Autism. Due to the needs of the students, class sizes are small, allowing you to meet their individual learning and emotional needs. The newly improved school has high expectations and a dedicated staff team to provide a learning environment that enables students to thrive. Facilities include a brand-new IT computer suite, a state-of-the-art fitness/gym facility and a new school library.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting and engaging lessons across the curriculum that develop learners' knowledge and skills, from KS2 to KS4.
• Provide support for students with SEMH/ASC and other complex needs, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and uphold school expectations.

Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Experience in SEN/SEMH provision is preferred, but applications from all teachers are welcome.
