Job description

Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire, Cambridge

Salary: £130 - £180 Per day

Benefits: PAYE

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups
  • Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a conducive learning environment
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures in delivering lessons
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' work
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to ensure continuity in learning
  • Typical working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • May require flexibility in covering different subjects and year groups

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Experience:

  • Recent experience teaching in a similar role, that can be referenced
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
