Taylor Wimpey on site opportunities: we are growing our directly employed trade teams, seeking quality skilled tradespeople who take pride in their work, manage jobs effectively and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.

Based at a Taylor Wimpey site, the General Construction Operative handles day-to-day housekeeping of development sites and supports the site production team, with travel to various construction sites.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required and up to date.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills.
• High standard of workmanship.
• Full, clean driving licence; travel to sites.
• Safety awareness and diligence.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Daily duties including site welfare upkeep.
• Materials stored and secured properly.
• Supervise unloading of deliveries.
• Maintain safe access and egress to welfare facilities.
• Maintain pedestrian walkways throughout development.
• Erect and update all signage.
• Keep plots clean and safe at all times.
• Assist with NHBC inspections readiness.
• Maintain protection of 2nd fix items.
• Open and lock up site and plots at start and end of day.
• Provide assistance to site team and trades.

Job Summary

Based at aTaylor Wimpey site, the General Construction Operative is responsible for day to day housekeeping of our development sites and will give assistance to the site production team.

Primary Responsibilities

Daily Duties

• Cleaning and maintaining site welfare
• Ensure that are materials are put away and stored correctly
• Supervise the unloading of delivery’s
• Maintain safe access and egress to the welfare facilities.
• Maintain and develop pedestrian walkways throughout the development
• Erect and maintain that all signage is in place and up to date
• Ensure that a clean and safe place of work is maintained inside the plots at all times
• Supporting getting plots ready for NHBC Inspections
• Maintain protection of 2nd fix items.
• Opening and locking up site and plots at the start and end of the working day.

Teamwork

• Provide assistance to the site team and specialised trades

Health and Safety

• Keep walkways clear / traffic management

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

• CSCS Card holder
• Self-motivated and have good communication skills
• High standard of workmanship
• Full, clean driving license – will need to travel to various construction sites
