Job summary

Taylor Wimpey is hiring a General Construction Operative to support day-to-day housekeeping on development sites and assist the site production team. Based at a Taylor Wimpey site, you will help prepare plots and maintain welfare areas with a strong emphasis on safety.

The role requires CSCS, a full driving licence, and the ability to travel to multiple construction sites. You’ll join an inclusive culture focused on delivering quality work first time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining site welfare.

Job Summary

We are looking for quality skilled trades people that really take pride in the work they do, manage jobs effectively and build strong relationships with employees on site and customers.

Based at aTaylor Wimpey site, the General Construction Operative is responsible for day to day housekeeping of our development sites and will give assistance to the site production team.

Primary Responsibilities

Daily Duties

• Cleaning and maintaining site welfare
• Ensure that are materials are put away and stored correctly
• Supervise the unloading of delivery’s
• Maintain safe access and egress to the welfare facilities.
• Maintain and develop pedestrian walkways throughout the development
• Erect and maintain that all signage is in place and up to date
• Ensure that a clean and safe place of work is maintained inside the plots at all times
• Supporting getting plots ready for NHBC Inspections
• Maintain protection of 2nd fix items.
• Opening and locking up site and plots at the start and end of the working day.

Teamwork

• Provide assistance to the site team and specialised trades

Health and Safety

• Keep walkways clear / traffic management

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

• CSCS Card holder
• Self-motivated and have good communication skills
• High standard of workmanship
• Full, clean driving license – will need to travel to various construction sites
