About Barnes Law

Barnes Law is a law boutique founded by Yulia Barnes in 2019, just before Covid. The firm has been growing successfully year on year and expanded substantially in 2021-2022. We primarily serve corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs).

Our aim is to provide the highest standards of service and to attract high-calibre candidates. We pride ourselves on offering personalised service, working closely with clients to understand their goals and how to achieve them. We operate in a fully-focused manner, working collaboratively, creatively, innovatively, and proactively to meet our clients’ objectives and understand their commercial drivers.

Our Team and Development

Due to our structure, our staff have close contact with clients and work closely with Yulia, who shares her extensive legal expertise. We invest in professional development and training, believing our staff are our most valuable asset.

Candidate Profile

We seek ambitious candidates who intend to stay and progress to senior positions within Barnes Law.

Responsibilities

1. Attend client meetings
2. Onboard clients and take instructions
3. Draft contracts with minimal supervision
4. Negotiate contracts
5. Attend networking events

Qualifications

1. At least 1 year of experience working in a boutique law firm or a reputable small firm with a similar client base
2. English law degree and LPC, or plans to undertake SQE exams in the foreseeable future
3. Excellent attention to detail
4. Willingness to work overtime and invest in professional development
5. Good knowledge of English law concepts
6. Positive work attitude

• Ability to work under pressure

Work Arrangements

• Office located in Central London
• Working hours from 9am to 5:30pm, with additional hours as workload requires
• Meeting annual targets
• Occasional evening networking events
• 28 days of paid holidays per year plus a day off on your birthday
