Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient General Catering Assistant to join our night shift team in Hull, United Kingdom. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering excellent food service.

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for night-time service
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards rigorously
  • Support the kitchen team in various tasks, including washing up and cleaning duties
  • Manage stock levels and assist with inventory control
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during night shifts
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and maintain a customer-focused approach
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment


Qualifications

  • Food hygiene certificate (required)
  • Previous experience in catering or food service (preferred)
  • Proficiency in food preparation and handling techniques
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong cleaning and sanitation skills
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and measurements
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent (preferred)
  • Physical stamina to work night shifts and perform kitchen duties
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed
