Sodexo is seeking a General Catering Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation in Sevenoaks. You will help with food preparation, serving, and maintaining high hygiene standards, while working as part of a supportive team.

Full training is provided; DBS clearance is required. You will help keep kitchen and dining areas clean, assist with restocking, and support deliveries, ensuring excellent service and safety at all times.

Job description

As a General Catering Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you'll help ensure everything runs smoothly. You'll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. What You'll Do

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food to the company's standards, utilising recipes from the central system and to have full knowledge of all allergen information prior to service.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
• Undertake all aspects in the cleaning of equipment - walls (up to 6ft), floors, fixtures and fittings, to the companies' standard according to the cleaning rota as required and directed.
• Assist in loading service counters, as and when directed, and to ensure sufficient supplies throughout the service period, paying particular attention to the minimum style guide standards and implementation of all current marketing offers and promotions.
• Assist, from time to time, at special functions, some of which may occasionally occur outside working hours.
• Relieve in other local units from time to time during sickness
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors

• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided
