Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is recruiting a General Builder for our Property Team on the Isle of Wight. The role involves delivering general building repairs and maintenance across our housing stock as part of the Responsive Repairs team, with a company van and fuel card provided for travel.

We expect NVQ level 2 in building or proven trade experience, and a strong health and safety mindset. It is a full-time, 40-hour role requiring a valid driving licence and the ability to work in occupied and

Qualifications

Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a Building trade or proven experience.
Experience in both occupied and empty premises with good customer service skills.
Strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
Enjoy working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out all forms of general building repairs and maintenance across our homes as part of the Responsive Repairs Team.
Digging underground drainage, repairing collapsed pipework and installing soakaways.
Roofing and roof repairs, roof problem solving, assessing roof integrity and guttering repairs.
Re-pointing, minor rendering, tiling and cement works.
All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
Laying self-levelling compound, flooring and floor tiles
Repairing brickwork and blockwork.
