Job summary

Cardo Group is seeking a General Builder to join our construction team working on social housing projects in and around Pembroke, Pembrokeshire. This hands-on role requires delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety and respect for residents’ homes.

You will work as part of a professional team across maintenance and refurbishment tasks, with opportunities for development. A full UK driving licence is desirable and relevant trade qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a General Builder or in a similar construction/maintenance role.
  • Good knowledge of general building and property maintenance practices.
  • Experience working on housing, refurbishment, maintenance or similar projects is desirable.
  • Ability to carry out a range of building tasks to a high standard.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building, repair, maintenance and refurbishment works across social housing properties.
  • Undertake a variety of tasks including plastering, brickwork, rendering, patch repairs, tiling, carpentry and other general building works.
  • Complete responsive repairs and planned maintenance works to a high standard.
  • Work safely and efficiently in occupied and vacant properties.
  • Identify additional defects or maintenance issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times.
  • Work professionally and respectfully around residents, tenants and members of the public.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Complete work within agreed timescales and to the required quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and members of the site team.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner when working on client and residents' properties.

We are currently looking for a General Builder to join our team in Pembrokeshire.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and reliable General Builder to join our construction team working across social housing projects in and around Pembroke.

The role will involve carrying out a wide range of general building, maintenance and refurbishment works within occupied and vacant social housing properties. You will work as part of a professional team, delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring properties are safe, well maintained and completed to the required standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail and understands the importance of working respectfully within residents' homes.

You Will Need:

  • Relevant trade qualifications would be advantageous.
