Job summary

Cardo Group is seeking a experienced Supervisor to join our team in the Northwest London area. You will oversee and coordinate the delivery of contracts, managing operatives and subcontractors to ensure works are on time, within budget, and to high quality and safety standards.

Key duties include end-to-end delivery of refurbishments, coordinating teams, inspections, cost control, and regular site reporting. A Full UK driving licence and strong health & safety knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supervising property refurbishment contracts, preferably within social housing.
• Strong knowledge of building trades, void standards, and housing regulations.
• Experience in planning and delivering multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of property refurbishments from inspection to handover.
• Coordinate in-house operatives and subcontractors to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Conduct pre-void and post-void inspections to scope works and prepare schedules of work.
• Monitor site progress, ensure works meet specifications on time and within budget.

• Liaise with tenants, neighbours, and stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Identify and order materials to minimise delays and waste.
• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and cost variations.
• Support Contracts Manager with cost control and commercial reporting.
• Carry out toolbox talks, inductions, and promote safety culture.

We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to join our team located in the Northwest London area. We are seeking an experienced and driven Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the delivery of us of contracts. You will be responsible for managing operatives and subcontractors, ensuring all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of property refurbishments, from initial inspection to completion and handover.


• Coordinate in-house operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are scheduled efficiently and meet agreed timelines.


• Conduct pre-void and post-void inspections to scope works accurately and prepare schedules of work.


• Monitor progress on site, ensuring works are completed to specification on time, and within budget.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and client-specific standards.


• Work closely with planners, surveyors, lettings teams, and the client to minimise turnaround times and void periods.


• Identify and order materials as required, minimising delays and controlling wastage.


• Maintain accurate records, including daily site reports, progress updates, and cost variations.


• Support the Contracts Manager with cost control, budget tracking, and commercial reporting.


• Carry out regular quality checks and snagging inspections before handover.


• Complete toolbox talks, site inductions, and support a culture of safety and performance excellence.


• Liaise with tenants (where applicable), neighbours, and stakeholders in a professional manner to resolve issues and manage expectations.

You Will Need

• Proven experience in supervising property refurbishment contracts, preferably within social housing.


• Strong knowledge of building trades, void standards, and housing regulations.


• Experience in planning and delivering multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.


• Good understanding of health & safety regulations, including RAMS and compliance requirements (e.g. gas, electrical, asbestos).


• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.


• IT literate with experience in using job management and reporting systems.


• Full UK driving licence (essential).
