Job summary

BaxterStorey in Pirbright is seeking an experienced General Assistant to support education catering at a busy site. You will assist in breakfast, lunch and dinner service, maintain front-of-house cleanliness and help with stock control while delivering friendly service to students and staff.

The Pirbridge Institute operates a five-day schedule, 7am–4pm, offering training, development opportunities and a clear path to progress within a respected hospitality employer.

• Ideally have experience working within Education catering
• Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
