Role: General Housing Assistant - Domestic

Contract: Perm, 6 hrs p/w (2 x shifts p/w). Can combine with another role to increase hours.

The Abbeyfield Society is a national charity dedicated to alleviating loneliness and isolation among older people by providing companionship in supported housing, retirement apartments, and care homes.

The main responsibilities of a General Housing Assistant include:

1. Ensuring communal areas are clean and tidy
2. Assisting with meal preparation and serving
3. Managing food stores with stock rotation
4. Promoting residents' wellbeing
5. Occasionally cooking or baking to cover the Cook role (to be discussed at interview)
