Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living, part of Sanctuary Group, is hiring a General Assistant - Cleaning for our retirement community in Leek. The role covers cleaning communal areas, kitchens, and offices, ensuring high standards, and supporting residents with privacy and dignity:

Your role

• Keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy
• Complete all cleaning duties to a high standard
• Report any faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment
• Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely
• Help prepare meals and drinks while meeting customers’ needs and respecting their privacy and dignity
• Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable)
• Some experience in a domestic or catering environment
• Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or willingness to work towards
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace
