Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a General Cleaning Assistant for our Derby retirement community at Greenwich Gardens, 34 Greenwich Drive North, Derby, DE22 4BH. You will keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy, ensuring high standards while respecting residents’ privacy and dignity.

You’ll report faults, monitor stock, and assist with meals and drinks as needed, supported by training and an inclusive culture that values your wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering or willingness to work towards
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace
  • Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable)
  • Some experience in a domestic or catering environment

Responsibilities

  • Keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy
  • Complete all cleaning duties to a high standard

Your role
