Catering Assistant

£12.21 per hour - Pay rate effective 1 April 2025

25 hours per week

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Catering Assistant at Baskeyfield House.

The role of Catering Assistant will include:

  • Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
  • Working with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services
  • Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers’ flats
  • Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
  • Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes

Skills and experiences:

  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
  • Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace
