Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and welcoming team member to provide excellent customer service within our campus cafes. Responsibilities include ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant, restocking supplies, advising customers on products (meals, snacks, allergens), and supporting both front and back of house duties.

Key duties include:

  • Greeting customers and serving food and drinks, resolving queries related to products and allergens.
  • Delivering high-quality customer service to ensure satisfaction and uphold our values of pride and togetherness.
  • Assisting in food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Handling payments via cash or card, and explaining purchase options and specials.
  • Addressing customer queries or escalating to supervisors as needed.
  • Cleaning equipment, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Supporting service areas such as the servery, deli/retail, and event functions.
  • Following food safety standards and conducting safety and stock checks.
  • Managing stock deliveries and storage.
  • Maintaining waste management procedures.
  • Carrying out tasks efficiently, considering production and allergen constraints.
  • Participating in food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP.
  • Completing accurate records and traceability documentation.
  • Engaging in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
