Job description

General Assistant – Sella Ness Lodge & Sullom Voe, Shetland Isles
Location: Shetland Isles
Rotation: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off
Hours: 73.5 hours per week - 10.5 hrs per day
Pay Rate: £13.19 per hour
Total Package Value: Up to £30,000 per annum

Travel from Aberdeen to Shetland and return is paid by Sodexo with an allowance provided towards travel from home to Aberdeen. Also, all accommodation and meals provided.

As aGeneral Assistantfor at Sodexo atSella Ness Lodge,you will play a key role in supporting the catering and cleaning services at this high-quality accommodation complex, which houses up to four hundred workers.The lodge is closely linked to the nearby gas plant and terminal, where Sodexo provides facilities management, catering, housekeeping, and maintenance services.By joining Sodexo, you’ll be part of a dedicated team working to support both thelodgeand themain site,Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do:

• Room servicing, including thorough cleaning of en-suite bathrooms.
• Lined and laundry services.
• Refuse collection and recycling.
• Cleaning of communal areas, restrooms, reception, dining, laundry, and recreational facilities.
• Ensureall kitchen areas, utensils, crockery, and equipment are clean and organised.
• Assist in the checking, acceptance,and correct storage of deliveries.
• Properly disposing of kitchen waste and recyclables
• Supporting the Chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required
• Assist in setup and serving of hot and/or cold foods from counters and steamtables.
• Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for visitors and staff
