Job summary

Leuchie House, a unique Scottish charity for adults with long-term neurological conditions, seeks general assistants to create a welcoming environment. You will prepare dining rooms, help guests with eating and drinking, and engage with them to keep mealtimes relaxing.

Occasional personal care may be needed to ensure comfort and wellbeing. These part-time roles are around 13–16 hours weekly, 8am–12pm on a two-week rota.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK essential.
• No prior experience required; full paid training provided.
• Good communication skills to interact with guests.
• Caring, compassionate and patient in guest care.
• Positive, friendly attitude and team spirit.
• Completion of PVG check is required.

Responsibilities

The role

Our general assistants play an essential part in creating the welcoming, friendly environment for our guests that Leuchie House is known for.

Responsibilities include preparing the dining room for mealtimes, assisting guests with eating and drinking and interacting with guests to make mealtimes fun and relaxing. Occasional assisting with personal care to ensure guest comfort and wellbeing.

Hours

We have two part-time positions availible (around 13 - 16 hours per week) working 8am to 12pm over a 2-week rota period.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK essential
• No experience necessary (full paid training provided)

• Completion of a satisfactory Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check
