Job summary

Abbeyfield Bolton Lodge is seeking a General Assistant to join our team of dedicated carers. This role focuses on housekeeping, meal support, and welcoming visitors to create a clean, comfortable environment for residents.

Hours are 8 per week, with shifts from 9am to 1.00pm, offering a supportive entry into care with training provided and opportunities for progression within Abbeyfield.

Responsibilities

• Assist with housekeeping and cleaning to keep the home tidy.
• Assist with meal preparation and food presentation to high standards.
• Welcome visitors and support residents to ensure a safe, comfortable environment.
• Clean residents’ bedrooms, communal areas, and offices as required.
• Ensure kitchen and store areas are clean and hygienic per guidelines.

We are now looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at Bolton Lodge.

Role:

General Assistant - Housekeeper and Domestic

Pay:

£12.71 p/h

Location:

Bolton Lodge/Proctor House, 107 Main Road, Bolton le Sands, Carnforth, LA5 8EQ

Hours:

8 Hours per week

Shift Times:

9am to 1.00pm Week 1 Monday Week 2 Wednesday Saturday Sunday.

The Role of General Assistant - Housekeeping / Domestic:

• As one of our valued general assistants, you’re at the front line of care. We’re passionate about creating a lovely environment for our residents to enjoy. So you’ll help us keep our Home clean and tidy for our residents, assist with meal preparation, and welcome our many visitors.
• Every resident should enjoy a tidy and well maintained environment, clean laundry, and carefully support the Kitchen staff in preparing meals, presented to the highest standard.
• You may work within the cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• This varied role may include cleaning of the residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices.
• You may also assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean, and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe.
