Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a General Assistant to join Bolton Lodge, performing housekeeping and domestic tasks. The role offers 8 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with shifts from 9am to 1pm.

Training is provided, no prior experience required, and eligibility to work in the UK is needed. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents, assist with meal preparation, and support kitchen and laundry duties as part of a compassionate team.

Responsibilities

• Front-line care support to residents; help keep the Home clean and tidy.
• Assist with meal preparation and welcome visitors.
• Work within cleaning and housekeeping schedules as directed by Home Manager/Housekeeper.
• Clean residents' bedrooms, self-contained flats, communal areas and offices as needed.
• Support kitchen staff to prepare meals and ensure hygienic practices.

We are now looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at Bolton Lodge

Role: General Assistant - Housekeeper and Domestic
Pay: £12.71 p/h
Location: Bolton Lodge/Proctor House, 107 Main Road, Bolton le Sands, Carnforth, LA5 8EQ
Hours: 8 Hours per week
Shift Times: 9am to 1.00pm Week 1 Monday Week 2Wednesday Saturday Sunday.

The Role of General Assistant - Housekeeping / Domestic:

• As one of our valued general assistants, you’re at the front line of care. We’re passionate about creating a lovely environment for our residents to enjoy. So you’ll help us keep our Home clean and tidy for our residents, assist with meal preparation, and welcome our many visitors.
• Every resident should enjoy a tidy and well maintained environment, clean laundry, and carefully support the Kitchen staff inpreparingmeals, presented to the highest standard.
• You may work within the cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• This varied role may include cleaning of the residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices.
• You may also assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean, and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe.
