Abbeyfield Living Society in Bolton le Sands is seeking a dedicated General Assistant (Housekeeper and Domestic) for Bolton Lodge. The role supports residents by keeping environments clean, assisting with meals, and welcoming visitors.

No prior care experience is required as full training is provided. A DBS check and UK work eligibility are required, with a shift pattern Mon-Sun 9am-1pm across two weeks. Competitive pay per hour and pro-rated leave accompany the role.

Responsibilities

• Keep home clean and tidy for residents and assist with meal preparation.
• Welcome visitors and support kitchen staff in meal presentation.
• Clean residents' bedrooms, flats, communal areas and offices.
• Handle cleaning and laundry; follow hygiene practices.

We are now looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at Bolton Lodge

Role:

General Assistant - Housekeeper and Domestic

Pay:

£12.71 p/h

Location:

Bolton Lodge/Proctor House, 107 Main Road, Bolton le Sands, Carnforth, LA5 8EQ

Hours:

8 Hours per week

Shift Times:

9am to 1.00pm Week 1 Monday Week 2 Wednesday Saturday Sunday.

Role

The Role of General Assistant - Housekeeping / Domestic:

• As one of our valued general assistants, you’re at the front line of care. We’re passionate about creating a lovely environment for our residents to enjoy. So you’ll help us keep our Home clean and tidy for our residents, assist with meal preparation, and welcome our many visitors.
• Every resident should enjoy a tidy and well maintained environment, clean laundry, and carefully support the Kitchen staff in preparing meals, presented to the highest standard.
• You may work within the cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• This varied role may include cleaning of the residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices.
• You may also assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean, and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe.
