Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society in Bolton is seeking a General Assistant to provide housekeeping and domestic support at Bolton Lodge. The role offers 8 hours per week, 9am–1pm shifts, and involves cleaning, meal prep support, and welcoming visitors to create a tidy, warm home for residents.

Training is provided; no prior care experience is required. Eligibility to work in the UK and DBS checks are part of the process.

We are now looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at Bolton Lodge

Role: General Assistant - Housekeeper and Domestic
Pay: £12.71 p/h
Location: Bolton Lodge/Proctor House, 107 Main Road, Bolton le Sands, Carnforth, LA5 8EQ
Hours: 8 Hours per week
Shift Times: 9am to 1.00pm Week 1 Monday Week 2 Wednesday Saturday Sunday.

The Role of General Assistant - Housekeeping / Domestic:

• As one of our valued general assistants, you’re at the front line of care. We’re passionate about creating a lovely environment for our residents to enjoy. So you’ll help us keep our Home clean and tidy for our residents, assist with meal preparation, and welcome our many visitors.
• Every resident should enjoy a tidy and well maintained environment, clean laundry, and carefully support the Kitchen staff inpreparingmeals, presented to the highest standard.
• You may work within the cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• This varied role may include cleaning of the residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices.
• You may also assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean, and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe.
