General Assembly | Utilimaster | Bristol, IN (Main)

Position Type: Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $22.00/hr

What you'll do:

The Assembler position involves active teamwork and responsibility for installing truck bodies and supporting the production of various components.

  1. Assemble or install truck body and walk-in van parts
  2. Use hand, air, and power tools skillfully
  3. Maintain attention to detail and work meticulously
  4. Work as part of a team, learning and rotating through different workstations
  5. Meet quality, quantity, performance, and safety standards
  6. Obtain necessary supplies and parts
  7. Assist colleagues when not engaged in assembly
  8. Keep the department clean and organized
  9. Participate in 5S and Lean Principles initiatives
Requirements for success:
  1. HS Diploma or GED
  2. At least 12 months manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive, RV, or boat industries
  3. Valid driver’s license
  4. Good attendance record
  5. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various positions
  6. Experience with power tools and reading gauges
  7. Ability to understand work orders and safety regulations
  8. Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
