Simple Recruitment are looking for General Assembler/Fabricator Welder for a temporary opportunity with our client in Nailsea.

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable General Assembler / Fabricator Welder to join their small factory-based team in Nailsea.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving the fabrication, welding, and assembly of a variety of industrial products including gates, bollards, barriers, and related steel structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG welding, steel fabrication, and mechanical assembly, with the ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings.

The Job:

  • MIG welding of carbon steel components to a high standard
  • Fabrication and assembly of industrial gates, bollards, barriers, and associated structures
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Use of hand tools and small power tools in daily tasks
  • Surface preparation and finishing tasks prior to and following fabrication
  • Manual handling of materials and components
  • Working efficiently both independently and as part of a small team
  • Supporting production demands across a range of varying projects
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fabrication and/or assembly environment
  • Proficient in MIG welding of carbon steels
  • Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and small power tools
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
  • Current forklift truck certificate (not essential but advantageous)
